About the event
"GermanFest" is a celebration of German musical brilliance, featuring iconic works by Mozart, Wagner, and Schumann. The concert opens with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Overture to Die Zauberflöte, K. 620, a sparkling and dynamic introduction to his beloved opera The Magic Flute. Next, Richard Wagner’s powerful Overture to Tannhäuser immerses the audience in themes of love, redemption, and the mythical Venusberg through its dramatic orchestration and sweeping melodies. After intermission, the program concludes with Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 4 in D minor, Op. 120, a richly emotional and unified masterpiece that blends lyrical beauty with intense passion. Together, these works showcase the depth and diversity of German classical music traditions.
